The forest is the first place that hints at the coming season. Summer fires begin to settle. Layers of woodsmoke still lace the forest canopy. Everything takes on an amber tone as the sun lurks a little lower near the ridge lines, and the shadows grow a little longer. Fall is meant for the forests. It’s the season when all things that have leaves and needles peak. And with this season, we release the Hunt, our fall seasonal. This year’s HUNT is a Sumatran coffee, and we pushed the roast just a little darker, resulting in a cup of coffee that is rich, deep, and satisfying like a morning walking into the mountains, with notes of baker’s chocolate, graham cracker, and maple. It has a mild acidity that balances it’s body. Not too light, not too dark, just right. As mornings get colder, and afternoon sun fades faster, a solid cup of coffee in the fall is as valuable a companion as a your favorite pair of boots, a good hunting dog, and warm gloves on an excursion into the mountains… and also just a great way to start your day in the kitchen.

This is our darkest blend. It is how people dream of drinking coffee in Paris, 1990. It’s your favorite diner tucked in the Cascades. This is black as a moonless night.
While most of our coffees lean towards medium roast to lighter style, this coffee is dark. We wanted to offer a coffee that is every bit as ethically sourced as the rest of our coffees, with a focus on being organic, traded fairly, and roasted with care, but cater to those that crave something on the darker side of things. Full-bodied & sweet. Notes of cocoa nibs & pecan. Drinks like a mellow jazz record on a weekend morning.
Roast Level: Dark
Smooth, delicious, natural processed coffee from the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia. Sweet candy, strawberry, milk chocolate, and a mild pineapple acidity.
This is a lighter roast coffee, but it has a full, rich body, has just the right amount of acidity without being too much, and makes an incredibly satisfying, delicious cup of coffee. Even if you don’t lean into lighter coffees, this one is worth trying.
Roast Level: Light
A blend of one crop, 1/2 roasted light, 1/2 roasted dark. Two different profiles from the same coffee create a blend (of itself) that is naturally sweet with hints of strawberry, walnuts, & raisin.

Campesinos Ecológicos de la Sierra Madre de Chiapas (CESMACH) farmers live in the buffer zone of the El Triunfo biosphere reserve where organic coffee farming is one of the few sanctioned activities in the delicate cloud forest habitat. We have been working with for several years and are excited about this newest crop. Full body, low acidity. Maple sugar sweetness, molasses, and apricot.
Roast Level: Medium
Grown in the high mountains of central Colombia, this is an easy love. The Asprasar cooperative has achieved several certifications including: organic, NOP, EU, Jas, FLO, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, and Manos de Mujer. With 91 members and two quality control laboratories at their collection points, this coop is focused on high quality coffees.
Though not a dark roast this coffee that has inherently dark, heavy tones. It is very full-bodied and has a rustic silkiness, akin to well sorted lodge in the remote forest. Milk chocolate, black berry, and a hint of tamarind with a mild stone fruit acidity.
Roast level: Lighter
Just a delicious blend of great coffees. Notes of malt, toffee, croissant, and lemon candy. Urban sophistication with rural appeal. Great coffee for daily drinking.
