On a recent trip to Peru we were able to visit the Norandino Coop (formerly Cepicafe) facility in northern city of Piura.
This facility has grown tremendously in the last two years with funding from various NGO’s with an emphasis on Fair Trade and certified organic coffee, cacao, sugar and fruit.
At the heart of this operation are tremendously committed individuals who are committed to the highest quality coffee (and other goods!) who are concerned about the quality throughout the entire chain from farm to roast as well as the long term sustainability of coffee and all related workers.
It is amazing and exciting to be able to visit the people where our coffees originate and see the enthusiasm level and commitment every bit as high as our own.
