Dark mornings, frosty windows, slippers and fireplaces. These are all things that make me think of Fall, my favorite time of the year. Here in Montana, the leaves are changing, and many are already falling to the ground. We woke up two days ago to find snow falling. There are many reasons to not want to get out of bed, but there is one thing that always gets me motivated to get going when it is still dark outside, and temperatures are quickly heading towards the teens… no big surprise: Coffee. Morning coffee in the fall is one of the most enjoyable things that I can think of. It’s also a time of the year when my morning coffee intake increases a bit (or perhaps a lot.) This is the time of year when Drip Coffee reigns supreme. A time when that third cup becomes necessary, and you don’t want to make another chemex. When it comes to drip coffee machines, there are many on the market, but only one that comes to mind as being the best. The Technivorm Moccamaster.
Technivorm has been hand making coffee makers in the Netherlands since 1964. Even today, each machine is individually tested, and comes backed up with a 5 year warranty. They are the only coffee maker in the world that are endorsed by both the European Coffee Brewing Centre, and the Specialty Coffee Association of America. There is a reason for this. In order to make a truly amazing coffee a coffee maker has to do two things. First and foremost it has to be able to get the water up to about 201 degrees. The Moccamaster is the only home machine on the market that is able to achieve that.
The other function that a machine has to be able to perform in order to make a great pot of coffee is even saturation of the ground coffee beans with water, while the machine is brewing. The Technivorm’s unique water dispersion arm does a fantastic job achieving this. And finally, the Technivorm Moccamaster just looks great on your kitchen counter.
Technivorm Moccamaster coffee makers are now available at Black Coffee.
